Manteca, San Joaquin County
Manteca sits between the San Joaquin and Stanislaus rivers at the northern end of the San Joaquin Valley. A few miles south, Caswell Memorial State Park protects a stand of old valley oaks along the Stanislaus. The crossroads of Highways 99 and 120 has made the city a common stop for travelers bound for Yosemite, and many residents commute west to the Bay Area.
